Course DescriptionÂ
This 1 hour course will discuss neonatal sleep physiology, the link between sleep and early brain development, ways to quantify neonatal sleep, and possible ways to optimize sleep in the first months after birth.Â

Recorded webinar, lecture, PowerPoint slides, and recorded question and answer session. Learning assessment and course evaluation follow the course.  Â
Course Completion Requirements Â
The learner must view the entire webinar, complete the course evaluation, and complete the post-webinar learning assessment with at least an 80% to receive education credit. Login and logout times are recorded and documented. Following completion of this course physical therapists, nurses, and other disciplines will receive a certificate of completion and a zip file containing information necessary to submit to their individual state for education credit. Zip file will include course bibliography. Physical therapists are responsible for knowing and adhering to their state’s deadlines, rules, and regulations.Â
Speaker Bio
Jeroen Dudink, MD, PhD, is a Dutch neonatologist and Associate Professor of neonatal neurology at the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital, University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands.Â
After his medical training in Leuven (Belgium), he received his PhD in neonatal neuroimaging, and he did a Master’s in Neuroscience at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He spent a visiting year doing neonatal neuroimaging research at the Hammersmith Hospital (Imperial College).Â
Currently, he is working as a clinical scientist combining clinical care and research and his main research topic is neonatal sleep, in relation to early brain development. He is Chair of the Dutch-Flemish Working Group of Neonatal Neurology and he recently became chair of the Dutch Association of Child and Sleep. He is also co-chairing the University’s theme’s Early Childhood (Dynamics of Youth) and Developmental Disorders (University Utrecht). His expertise is in neonatal neuroimaging and neuromonitoring.Â
