Course Description: Learners will review trends in neonatal/maternal mortality with emphasis on racial disparities, highlighting life course perspective and social determinants of health. 6 areas of expertise for neonatal therapists are highlighted to improve health equity by directly empowering marginalized parents.

Course Completion Requirements:
The learner must view the entire webinar, complete the course evaluation and complete the post webinar learning assessment with at least 80% to receive education credit. Login and logout times will be recorded and documented.
Following completion of this course physical therapists, nurses and other disciplines will receive a certificate of completion and a zip file containing information necessary to submit to their individual state for education credit. Zip file will include course bibliography. Physical therapists are responsible for knowing and adhering to their state’s deadlines, rules and regulations.
Speaker Bio:
Terri Major-Kincade, MD, MPH, FAAP or Dr. Boo as she is affectionately called is a double board-certified neonatologist and pediatrician with over 20 years of experience as a clinician, perinatal health disparities advocate, and neonatal palliative care and perinatal hospice provider currently based in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Terri is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and she holds an MD/MPH from the UCLA School of Medicine and completed her Pediatric Residency and Neonatology Training at UT Southwestern and UT Houston.
She has expertise in health equity and racial health disparities and has led several outreach initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes through partnerships with the March of Dimes Texas.
As a nationally sought leader in the area of perinatal health disparities, Dr. Terri currently serves as a National Board Member for the Pregnancy Loss and Infant Death Alliance where she leads their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts and on the Return to Zero-H.O.P.E. Clinical Advisory Board where she advocates for Neonatal Bereavement Resources for marginalized populations.
Dr. Terri is an Amazon Best Selling Author for her Book entitled Early Arrival: 9 Things Parents Need to know about life in the NICU and recently joined the Pampers Professional Team.
She is a highly requested keynote speaker known in the industry for her authenticity and compassion in discussing challenging topics around racial health disparities and neonatal palliative care.
