The IGNITE Program: A Momentous Step for the Future of Neonatal Therapy

By Sue Ludwig | 4 comments

In the past 3 years, over 350 neonatal therapists (and a handful of nurses) have enrolled in NANT’s year-long online training and mentoring program called Ignite. Collectively, they are the first group of neonatal therapists in the world that have engaged in this type of foundational NICU-specific education with guided input from multidisciplinary mentors who possess well over 100 years of combined experience.

Why is this a momentous step for the future of neonatal therapy?

Neonatal therapy is recognized as an advanced practice area by NANT, APTA, AOTA, and ASHA. And yet, historically there was no consistent pathway to begin in the NICU, or if experienced, to validate your core knowledge. Ignite is changing that. Your passionate participation in Ignite results in being better prepared, more knowledgeable, and more supported than ever before. This means babies win.

Enroll in IGNITE and learn from internationally recognized neonatal therapy mentors Chrysty Sturdivant, OTR, CLC, CNT and Sandra Carroll, OTR, CLC, CNT as well as guest faculty and mentors from each profession (OT, PT, SLP). This program is designed to take you from a place of uncertainty and isolation to a place of confidence and community.

*CEUs are offered and are applicable to the total number of NICU specific educational hours needed to apply for the NTNCB’s neonatal therapy certification.

IGNITE provides you with foundational education in the art and science of neonatal therapy along with tangible, printable tools and resources that can be immediately incorporated into your practice.

Enrollment for the 2019-2020 class of IGNITE will open during NANT 9. You can register at the conference or online starting April 11th. In the meantime, click here to learn more about IGNITE or jump on the early notification list.

NOTE: We’ll be hosting a special ‘Meet Your Mentors’ lunch at NANT 9 on Friday April 12th for anyone interested in enrolling in the program. You can choose to sign up for this lunch in an upcoming email that will be sent only to registered participants. Stay tuned! (No additional cost to attend this lunch.)

I am very interested in the Ignite program. However, whenever I click on the link for more information it takes me to a page that states: “you are not authorized to access Infusionsoft by Keap.” I just registered as a guest on the NANT website. Is it possible to access the information on that site?

    Please advise. Thank you.
