Your latest work-related project?

Incorporating Dr. Pineda’s SENSE program. I was recently asked to co-lead the NICU’s neurodevelopmental program. One of the initiatives is to focus and incorporate the SENSE (Supporting and Enhancing NICU Sensory Experiences) tool which empowers families to be directly involved in the care of their baby, while in the NICU.

You are a member of NANT because:

NANT has empowered me as an OT. I have gained NICU specific knowledge, learned about evidenced-based tools, gained NICU specific skills, and learned about ongoing NICU courses. The big reasons I am a NANT Member are to access the on-line resources and webinars and the ability to network with other NICU professionals. NANT has given me the opportunity to interact with researchers, attend conferences, specialize in the neonatal population (as a CNT) and encourage me as a clinician. I have learned through NANT the importance of working together as a NICU team, the value of NICU research, and the significance of a connected neonatal focused community.

I am thankful for this organization! NANT provides support to an area that demands specialized skills and knowledge.
