Four individuals will receive scholarships for the 2026 NANT Conference thanks to our generous donors. Apply now! Please read each scholarship category below and apply for the one most appropriate for you. Application deadline is November 10, 2025. Recipients will be notified by November 18th. Conference Dates Main Conference – April 17-18, 2026 Pre-Conference – April 16, 2026 Venue: Loews Arlington Hotel Location: Arlington, Texas In 1991, Sue Ludwig’s brother Mark and sister-in-law Toni were preparing to have their second child, a son named Nicholas. The pregnancy was uneventful until 28 weeks of gestation when they received the diagnoses of diaphragmatic hernia and polyhydramnios with no other genetic abnormalities. An intrauterine surgery was planned but never realized due to preterm labor. Nicholas was born on 6-9-91 at 31 weeks despite tocolysis and therapeutic amniocentesis. Their prayer was to make it to the NICU, no matter how long he may have to stay there. However, his pulmonary insufficiency was too significant, and instead, they held him close for the time he had. Mark and Toni have 4 amazing living children. And they continue to honor Nicholas’s life and memory in meaningful ways. This scholarship is one of them. Their hope is that this educational and inspirational experience will enhance the level of care provided to babies and families facing similar challenges. This scholarship is for the neonatal therapist (OT, PT, SLP) working in a Level III/IV NICU with infants with complex medical/surgical/congenital problems. What are the unique challenges of working with medically complex infants/families as a neonatal therapist? Using a particular case example, share how you navigate these challenges in your unit, describing how you use your neonatal therapist skillset. The scholarship covers tuition (any package) for the upcoming NANT Conference and a two-night stay in the conference hotel. This scholarship is open to NANT Members who fit the above criteria and meet the application deadline. There is nothing else in the world like the NANT Conference. Historically, numerous countries are represented at each event. We believe all participants benefit from experiencing diverse cultural exchange and sharing. We also aim to improve neurodevelopmental outcomes on a global level by supporting our colleagues outside the U.S. To help achieve this, NANT will sponsor tuition for the upcoming NANT Conference (any package) and one night’s stay in the conference hotel for the scholarship recipient. Obviously, you need to live outside the USA to apply! This scholarship is given in the names of two dear women, Sr. Lucy Beischel and Dr. Rae Hartman, who for more than 8 decades valued travel and education as well as travel AS education. Ann Beischel (Sue Ludwig’s mom) fervently supported NANT from the beginning. She generously provided annual funding for this tuition scholarship to help someone attend the NANT Conference who might not otherwise be able to participate, and we have vowed to ensure her generosity and support live on in this scholarship. Miles Derck (Ann’s great-grandson and Sue’s great-nephew) was born prematurely in 2020 during the pandemic. He is thriving thanks to an incredible team of talented, empathetic, and passionate NICU staff that gave him a strong foundation. Miles’s parents kindly added to this scholarship, allowing NANT to offer it to two recipients. In the spirit of special healthcare workers who supported Ann, Miles, and their family members by providing family-centered care within an intensive care environment, NANT offers the Ann J. Beischel Scholarship for Family-Centered Care. This scholarship covers tuition for the upcoming NANT Conference (any package) and one night’s stay in the conference hotel for two deserving individuals.
